Reginald "Reggie" Throckmorton

Post by SeaLord on Tue Nov 18, 2014 1:11 pm

Name: Reginald "Reggie" Throckmorton
Rank: Lieutenant
Age:20
Hometown: Leeds, England
Biography: Reggie worked as a clerk at a iron foundry in Leeds and joined the RFC after a brief stint driving supply lorries to and from the front lines.  After being strafed and bombed a few times by German observation , he decided to get his revenge.  After his solo flight, his instructors were not quite sure if he is trying to get his revenge on the Germans or the RFC.  Reggie has a terrible fear of AA and has been known to close his eyes when he crosses the front so he can't see the AA bursts.  Of course, his formation flying suffers.

I guess I am going to go through some pilots.

Reggie Throckmorton crashed on take off, so I am not sure if he died then. He was bloody, but everything didn't go dark.

On the next flight, Reggie was separated from his flight, but decided to press on with the mission regardless. (No one ever accused Reggie of being the sharpest tool in the shed.) Crossing over the lines searching for a balloon to attack, Reggie was jumped by two Albatroses. Fighting both for control of his ship and for his life, he managed to put a few bullets into one of the planes (for little effect, but was wounded in the process. Evading the enemy, he managed to cross back over the lines and was beginning his decent in search of his airfield. One of the Albatrosses then caught up to him and wounded him more severely. He managed to land, but a 1 showed up in the tombstone, so I think he is definitely dead. I don't believe the German was very sporting because I heard machine guns after I touched down. Maybe a friendly got into the fight?

On to the next pilot!
