Clive Fitzhugh

Post by SeaLord on Mon Nov 17, 2014 8:32 am

Name: Clive Fitzhugh
Rank: Lieutenant
Age:19
Hometown: St. Albans
Biography: Clive attended Verulam School and at the tender age of 5 learned to mix martinis for his father.  Hoping one day to become a Doctor of Mixology, his bartending ambitions were cut short when the Huns invaded France and England entered the war.  After a brief time serving as the batman for the Earl of Notteringham, Clive grew tired of sorting the earl's cufflinks and transferred to the Royal Flying Corps (RFC).  Discovering that he flew better drunk, Clive barely managed to pass flight training.  As the Allies are desperate for pilots, he was approved for posting to a squadron.

Great, glad you like his biography. It will be nice to fly in a squadron.

I got a few kills this evening. I need to futz some more with the control mapping and I need more practice on the Nieuport 17. The Albatros D.Va is nice, but it can't be dived hard or the lower wing comes off.

I flew under the name SeaLord. I died and crashed landed a lot. I am not sure how to fly as Clive Fitzhugh. Am I supposed to set him up and fly under his name in single player career mode and post his stats here? Or, am I supposed to do something else?

After reading a little more about the project, I guess we will fly the pilots in multiplayer, so the stats there count. Are we only supposed to use the pilots in Dukely's Ducks joint squadron actions in multiplayer? Or are can we fly the pilots in single player career mode and multiplayer combined squadron actions?

The idea is you create a new profile for your pilot. For ease of recognition online we suggest people use *DD* followed by your pilots last name. *DD* Fitzhugh. So if you go online using that profile, and say you fly on the Syndicate Server, after your done playing you can find your pilots stats on Syndicate Squadrons website. http://www.stats.syndicatesquadron.org/

This is a Dead is Dead career. Meaning if your virtual pilot dies, hes gone and you will have to make a new one. You can fly alone online if you want and your stats will still count.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Fitzhugh:

We regret to inform you that your son, Clive Fitzhugh, was killed in action. Rest assured, he bravely gave his life for his country. Clive's machine, an Se.5a, was last seen when it entered an uncontrolled spin from high altitude over enemy controlled territory. No one could have lived through the crash and he surely died instantly. Unfortunately, Clive slept through stall recovery class in basic flight training, which, no doubt contributed to the crash. Also, there is no doubt he is dead as the fireball was clearly visible from our lines and was especially intense, probably due to the large quantity of single malt whiskey Clive was known to take with him on his flights to steady his nerves.

Our sincerest condolences, stiff upper lip and all that,
Col. Evan Stevenson
