Not Games..But MOVIES

Post by DrZebra on Sat Nov 08, 2014 3:03 am

I didn´t know just where to put it.. but I´m a huge airplane movie and real airplane stunt fan and... if you all don´t mind, I´ll post some recomendations that every plane nerd has to see at one or the other point in his/her life:

I´ll start of with "Deadly Encounter".. Probably the best helicopters stunts right up until today:

spoilers: (well basically this is the movie in short, the partly ludacrous story is only to tie things together)

one of the three films, John Wayne regreted ever to have taken part in, thats a quality by it self... with a hugly interesting story on how the movie came together. Ground scenes where shot in 3 weeks but the rest took Howard Huges years (he started going a bit insane.. you all know the aviator movie?)

what had been a prime equipment of the US-Airforce was finally dated when the movie came out.. but plenty of rare airplanes and cool stuff there:

I have seen both Aces High and Blue Max. Both excellent movies. Also saw Flyboys which was also pretty good and the newest version of the Red Baron which is kinda ehh. I've been looking for Hell's Angels for awhile so thanks for posting that. Will have a look at the other films here too.
