Pulsar Lost Colony

Post by Dukely on Fri Jul 24, 2015 1:25 am

I saw a few videos of the cool co-op spaceship game. Would love to play if anyone is interested! I'll be gone next week but I'll be around on the 1st of August.

There was a co-op starship game awhile back, where each player takes the place of a specific bridge officer.  Not sure if this is similar.

I often avoid games with first-person shooter views these days, as some of them give me a splitting headache & nausea from motion sickness (depending on gfx engine used). Neutral

That may sound odd for someone who has done flight sims for so long (as an example), but all I can figure out is the sickness is likely caused by the way the ground and environment movement is portrayed in widescreen.  Must be a difference in the way it's displayed on-screen, compared to how I normally perceive things when walking/looking about.  Seems to be fairly common problem these days, too, because I see it discussed on the same specific games' forums when investigating. I didn't have this issue when playing FPSes back in the standard def days.

Your thinking of Artemis Spaceship Bridge simulator. While similar that game was for Lan only and would require quite the setup to run properly. To bad about the motion sickness. I do believe the pilot in Pulsar gets and external 3rd person view of the ship. I'll check it out when I return from my trip.
