Mythic Game Master Emulator

Post by Nefaro on Thu Jun 04, 2015 1:27 pm

Had some people recommend the Mythic Game Master Emulator for nearly no prep GM'ing and even GM-less games of Co-op and solitaire.

I dl'd and printed it off not long ago but haven't read through it yet.  The system's quite simple, it's greatest strength probably being the occasional twists which provide some randomized sets of keywords to help you brain storm.  I can see how such a thing could help you easily create a narrative story.

I've not picked up another add-on companion to this system, Mythic Variations, which provides some extra detailed keyword generators that are more genre specific.  But I probably will if the basic MGME is as inspiring as people say.

I'll probably run some solo RPG narratives with MGME, after settling on which RPG to try it on first.  Could probably make for some interesting AAR sessions in Exploration & Action themed runs, which suits me just fine. Will let you know what I think afterward.
