You need a copy of LOMAC (Lock-On Modern Air Combat) to install Flaming Cliffs 3 on top of (Ubi rights BS).  But it's well worth it since you get quite a few flyable aircraft in FC3.

I picked up Combined Arms awhile back, on a sale, but never tried it after seeing how simple the playable tanks were.  Not sure if there's much with AAA and SAMs either.

Last I heard, DCS aren't doing anything further with Combined Arms.

They reportedly created it to allow players to run the ground forces on the map, like an RTS, while people were flying in the sim. I guess they added the simplistic first-person part somewhere in creation.

I own the ridiculously expensive but excellent tank sim Steel Beasts Pro PE, and know some people who do multi-player almost every day. So DCS' Combined Arms will probably never get any attention from me.

yeah.. but I really like the combination of a bit of strategy and playable ground troops in a full sim. That can be really cool, but off course you need the right missions and players for that. Maybe we all could try to make future project?
