Open Source Games

Post by Dukely on Tue Mar 10, 2015 4:58 am

Hey guys! I'm looking for some good open source games for a series I'm starting. Open TTD is an obvious one but anything else you guys can suggest I'm eager to hear!

AFAIK, some of the classic Roguelikes have been open source for a long time and have benefited from many additions over the years.

Dungeon Crawl: Stone Soup is a notable example which has had a lot of content added over time, by various people, and still continues to be updated.  Thankfully it got a graphical tile set awhile back.. I can't bear most of the ASCII-only stuff. Dungeon Crawl is definitely one of the best of the classical style roguelikes, largely due to the amount of content & interesting stuff you can find while exploring (and inevitably dying) in it.
