Viewing Steam Friends Broadcasts of Their In-Game Sessions

Post by SeaLord on Wed Jan 14, 2015 1:25 pm

Steam offers the ability to view your Steam friends broadcasts of their live in-game sessions. The Steam support states that the beta Steam option has to be enabled to do this. Unfortunately, I cannot fathom how this option is located in my profile or wherever. I think the option would be great for Rise of Flight so that we could have some idea which server someone is located and about where they are on the map so that we can join-up.

Any thoughts on this?

Well it would only work for the people that have RoF on Steam. I've tried this broadcast feature out with some friends. It requires entry into the beta as you said. If your in-game I can request to watch your game and which point you must allow or disallow. Its also laggy for the person being watched noticeable so even on my relatively high-end system.

Ok, thanks for the information. Forget I ever mentioned it.

Hopefully they work on it in the future and make it usable.

I just check the Online status page for ROF on occasion, to see who's on and how many.

http://online.riseofflight.net/

If you click on one of the servers, a user list will open. Although I think it only updates once every few minutes so the user list can be a bit behind.
