Dukely Ducks Squadron next fly out...

Post by GenMarkof007 on Fri Jan 09, 2015 4:43 am

Hi all,

Just wanted to see if we could organize a bit before the next fly out of the Dukely Ducks Squadron.
That way, we could have more people meeting up and that would be more fun to all.

Also, if any are available some nights in the week, that could be also fun to add small meet up in the calendar.

Hope to see you soon in the sky!

I schedule every flight in the calender which automatically makes a thread in the ready room. Also because we have people from so many different time zones its hard to coordinate an exact time.

Hi Dukely,

I understand the different time zones for each member of the Squadron, that might be the reason to organize a date and time so people can schedule the Fly out on weekends.
I know that a few Arma 2 Squads did a few operations in the afternoon to have the players from UK and US at the same time.
On my part, I will try to go a few times in the week nights since a few servers have around 10 to 20 players playing.

Let me know if we are going out this weekend.
Cheers
Gen

ps: I've contacted the team of ROF about the problem with the Tarnopal map. Hope it will be solve soon. Wink

In case anyone is interested, my flight plan options for today are:

1. Fly on the Syndicate or New Grounds servers, and probably get bounced and go down in flames.
2. At the suggestion of Dr. Zeebra, get some time in my logbook in the Sopwith Dolphin, and hopefully learn how not to spin to my death.
3. Go on the Dedicated Training Server to practice and generally cause mayhem.
4. Have fun.

If you see me and want to fly together, I will be checking the chat, but I often get distracted while being bounced and spinning to my death, so I may not respond immediately to a chat message.  Just keep sending chats until I wake up.

Hi Sealord,

I'm might go on also on a few times today.
If your up to it, would be fun to try and get a few planes in a duo or more today.
For now, I still have my problem with the Eastern Front map.
See you in the sky! Wink

I did do a few minutes with tail last night as gunner, but we got jumped by 3 bandits...Tail did get a few bombs on a factory and a train! Wink

Sounds good to me. I am not in the league of Tailmange or Dr. Zeebra, but it should be fun.

For me, it is easy to get lost on the Eastern Front map (which river is that?).

I am sure you did a better job as gunner for Tailmange than me. I used up all the Becker 20mm on long range low-probability shots. The bandits waited patiently for me to run out of ammo and then closed in to remove bits of the plane they felt we didn't need. I was reduced to waving the Becker around in a somewhat threatening manner in a futile attempt to scare them off.

The dolphin is just like one of those girls.. maybe not the prettiest in the world and when she gets temperamental many leave and never look back.. but when you do give her some time, you´ll see she is actually very reasonable and quickly stops arguing if you only respect her needs. And THEN you´ll see that her temprament and internal values make her much more fun then those flashy looking ones..

Yes, I had fun. The raid on the airfield was entertaining. Too bad we ran out of time. The flak kind of got in the way too.
