Wasn't it your first bombing pass when you killed a player at their base? That was comical just because you know he didn't see it coming and BOOM! Laughing

This was my first 1v2 run-in of the day:

I tallied both of them before fully engaging, so managed to avoid the drag & bag they were set up for.  I would've been dead if I had taken after the first one without checking around again.  I've come to expect it when there are quite a few people on with Teamspeak.

Flying close to the city on that East Front map made my recordings skip some.  All those buildings zapped my FPS some, but it had a larger effect on my recordings there.  The next vid isn't as bad as this one.

The second flight.

Every time I tried attacking the bombers that day, I ended up with a pack of Russkies on my back even after scanning for them beforehand. Suspect

Wow, great videos Dr Zeebra...
Love when the bomber starting it's engines get bombed! Wink

Question for you, what key or keys do you use to follow a bomb or a down airplane, I tried a series of keys, but in the SYN server, they don't seem to be working?
Would that be because you need to be in edit to see those views?

Thx again for sharing.

Since I'm still in vacation today, I might try a few fly out in multiplayer servers.

Cheers to all the Dukely Duck Squadron.

Wow, just great videos Nefaro!
Just love when you start to descend for the bomber.
That first pass, would have been a great time to let some bullets go for the pilots.
I love to see a bomber go down and the rest of the crew don't know why?
Thx for sharing those moments.

Thanks!

I generally try to aim for the cockpit but my gunnery skills aren't quite at the level I'd like.  The two scout kills I got were from pilot hits though, from what I could tell, so I guess persistence paid off with those (same with the Tripe kill the day before).

Didn't get much trigger time against the bombers as I kept getting jumped by their escorts yesterday, as you can see in the vids.  You can also see how hectic it was trying to fight off two at a time, by my TrackIR head movements, the plane shaking in the turns, and small stalls.  Glad a buddy showed up in the second vid to take some heat off!

The Russian players certainly did a good job of high escort. I rarely saw them before my attacks and I was specifically looking for them.

the trouble was not so much that it was two escorts.. but that it was a fighter and an Fe2 with weapon mods an a very good human gunner. It is not to be underestimated as a fighter and with the large field of fire upwards and forward the normal defensive tactic of staying above the fighter is in combination with the Fe2 very very hard. Because you need to be behind that thing, and that means low with the fighter behind you.
