Test flight of an Albatros D.II with the wing-mounted Becker M2 20mm automatic cannon weapons mod

Post by SeaLord on Thu Jan 01, 2015 4:49 pm

I made another video. It is a test flight of an Albatros D.II with the wing-mounted Becker M2 20mm automatic cannon weapons modification. It's not a very practical weapon for a fighter, except perhaps against a HP 0-400, but nothing can beat the "thump, thump, thump" sound of an autocannon and the sight of your enemies disintegrating before your eyes. Mu-ah-ha-ha-ha!

Crazy. Did it not slow you down too much?

I'm also curious about any handling changes.

It seems a bit more sluggish. Deflection shots a definitely a challenge with the low muzzle velocity. I took on some people in multiplayer today and I got two kills before I was hit by flak. I am also trying a Davis 57 mm recoilless rifle on my Felixstowe.

one hint, the fieldmod ironsights are for the becker cannon, so you need field and weapon mod here...

some people have really really gotten good with the becker, so much that I think it should only be allowed on quick action servers... but thats just my oppinon.

I agree its use should be limited to quick action servers. I doubt the Becker was used operationally to any extent, or if it was used operationally on a fighter at all.
